WOAH!

THE BIG DAY :)

I have lots to say for just one post, but I'll do my best. :)

Well, I guess the biggest news on our end is...WE GOT MARRIED! I am one lucky and happy girl. Despite the newness and adjustment period being at times a bit rocky, I couldn't be having more fun or loving life any more than I do!

For more pictures, the following links will send you to a public view of my Facebook album. Or you could always add me as a friend!

I have plenty more photos to sort through. My fabulous photographer (Tawsha with the Color Blue Photography) took over 1,000! Maybe that is normal, but it sure seems like a lot to me! And I am so happy for that because she caught a lot of priceless moments from that day (the best day of my life), including this one:

Check out that butterfly on my finger! We had a beautiful butterfly release at the reception. It was an ultimate dream for me.

And this one...

My baby brother isn't such a baby anymore.

And of course, this one...

My lovely niece, Zaylie.

I can't quite describe the day in a little entry like this, but the sealing was definitely the focal point and remains that way in my mind. It was the most special, sacred moment of my life. I am so grateful to be with my sweetheart for all eternity.

In other news, I cut my hair! I am a new woman. It feels wonderful and free. I have been doing lots of crafts for the house (Cassie got me addicted) as well as cooking DAILY. Who would have guessed?!?! I also got a job working the tanning salon right next to Adrian's gym. Perfect set up.

Adrian is still working the shake shop and training. He and I have tossed around lots of ideas as far as his schooling is concerned and the most current decision is to begin a class or two at UVU this fall. I will return full time in August to BYU, while keeping my part time job, and he will continue working full time and just take a slow and steady course on to receive his Associate's.

We make a great team. He is everything I would love to be. I am thankful for his quiet influence, for the way he makes me want to be a better person, without ever saying a word.

I love my little family! Here are my babies:

Very old, but you get the idea. My three boys are my world!

I will post photos of my crafts (and maybe even my meals!) in the near future. I am quite proud of them!

Love, Tash

"Princess Birthday Week"

I figure I should make an effort to be a much more consistent photographer. I am constantly living in the moment of priceless memories, instead of taking the time to record them.

Last weekend, I FINALLY got to meet Adrian's older brother and his family. This was such an exciting event for me because after dating Adrian so long and knowing his family so well, I always felt like there was a big piece missing. And there was! Tyler and Christy have 3 beautiful children and have a fourth on the way. We had a blast painting nails, playing games, dying easter eggs, going out to eat, and blowing out birthday candles.

Wednesday was my 23rd birthday. That sounds so old to me! :) I was fortunate enough to have a mini celebration with my parents and sister when we were in Idaho for baby Zay's blessing.

My adorable fiance made the ENTIRE week about me! I have told everyone about the card he wrote but I will say it again (as close to ver batim as I can): "Tash, I figure God made the world in 6 days. So why shouldn't I spend that many days celebrating the birth of my world?"

Yes, he really said that.

So, Monday-Saturday, there was something special- whether it was a dozen roses, or shopping, or a surprise spa massage, I was pampered beyond pampered for an entire 6 days.

My actual birthday fell on an exam day. The testing center was kind enough to give me a "Happy Birthday" pencil. And late that night, Adrian and I went to frozen yogurt with Trent and Kailee.

At least my birthday week fell during the district's spring break, so I didn't teach any of my dance classes, and that was a welcome break.

My sister and her husband are closing on a hose in Idaho Falls at the end of the month. I am excited to make my way back up there as soon as the semester ends to help move and take care of my beautiful niece.

Baby Blessing

My insanely beautiful niece was blessed over the weekend. It was such a joyous occasion and I am so grateful I was able to attend. I hope I didn't monopolize holding her too much! I truly fell in love. Before I left, Adrian said, "Now, don't come back baby hungry!"

Sorry, honey, I tried... :)

My sister makes a wonderful mom. I am so impressed at her maturity and her ability to be so nurturing, organized, creative, and gorgeous all at the same time!

We have changed the venue for the wedding reception to an indoor/outdoor location. It will be held on the evening of June 19 at the Pack Home in This Is The Place Park. We are feeling really great about this change because it takes away the fear of having a rained out party! But I still get the garden feel I really wanted.

My mom has stayed up here for a few extra days after the blessing to help with wedding plans. This has been so helpful! You never grow too old to stop needing your mom! She has totally put things into action and in a few short days, things are finally coming together.

I am so in love and so excited to be with my gentle, creative, righteous man for all eternity!

Final Stretch

We are moving into crunch time as the wedding quickly approaches! I love it because every day, it seems that much more real! It is actually happening!

A client of Adrian's is renting out his home, as he and his wife and children are moving into a new place. This week, we will be going over for dinner to take a look. It is located in Orem, which is perfect for Adrian's job and my schooling. Also, a home would be a major plus because that gives my dogs an entire backyard to play.

Our engagement photos are scheduled for April 2. We are already joking about preparing for all of the "lovey dovey" poses. He and I interact like best friends most of the time, so I am guessing a lot of our pictures will turn out to be very candid and fun.

I recently got hired to begin teaching hip hop at a second school, Dixon Middle School, in Provo. My first day is tomorrow. I am so excited to work with another group of kids. Their passion and energy levels always impress and inspire me!

Adrian is going to UVU in the morning to look into the police academy. He would like to consider that as another option in addition to PTA school. Either way, he is beginning in August. He has made that committment! I am so proud of him. He is the most determined person I have ever met in my life.

Adrian makes me laugh every day. Most things he says I feel like I should write down. He is that romantic. In fact, last night we were doing a pizza and a movie double date with my roommate and her guy friend, and Adrian said to me, "Tash, you are the most beautiful thing about that ring on your finger." That is nothing out of the ordinary for him! I get love notes and text messages expressing similar affections almost constantly. I could not be any more blessed.

Have a memorable week! (I am finding that making memories on a daily basis is quite rewarding...)

Love,
Tash and Adrian

I've Decided...

Blogging is quite therapeutic. And addicting!

I have actually been experiencing withdrawals. Life is fantastic but sometimes tends to move at lightning speed! It is so worth it to take the time to write it down, however, because remembering these things down the road will be priceless.

I just read the last couple of entries to Adrian and he loves it. He is so cute. We went to the single's ward in Sandy together today and it was so nice to sit next to him during the sacrament. Since I wasn't teaching Relief Society today, we decided to visit his family.

Wedding plans are developing quite nicely. Adrian's ring came in and it is gorgeous, if I do say so myself. Can't wait to have it on his finger! I still need to get it engraved with a special little surprise. The inside of my ring is special too. There are two stones- a diamond, and a ruby, to signify our births! :)

The colors are officially: lavender, cream, and rose pink as an accent color. The dress is PURCHASED! It is cream colored as is my veil, which has bleached peacock feathers on the broach! I am having a matching bolero jacket made to fit the vintage theme that is beginning to emerge. My dream is to have a bouquet of wild flowers and for my cake to have a similar "feel" about it. Adrian might even wear a high colored button-up under his tux.

I have found a wonderful engagement photographer who also designs and prints wedding annoucements. Check her out here:

Last Sunday was my first to teach Relief Society. It was an intimidating experience, because we have plenty of wonderful returned missionaries, but I am so grateful for the opportunity to stretch myself in this way. My bishop came in to listen and even shot me a thumbs up sign near the end. I learned a lot about what I will do differently next time, but I guess you can't even figure that out unless you try! Last Sunday was also Valentine's Day. I spent it with my sweetheart, of course. The night before, we went to the Cheesecake Factory with another couple and completely indulged! (I know, it was totally off my diet!)

This week I did a LOT of cardio with my roommate Salinda, as well as plenty of weight lifting, thanks to my fiance and my trainer. I am feeling sore, but very excited for the next few months! I also began teaching hip hop at Orem Junior High for their after school 4H program. I can't even begin to express how much fun this is for me! They are adorable, quick learners, and so eager to work hard! I love being able to continue enjoying my passion for dancing, even if it is just dipping my toe in the water.

Adrian and I had another "first" together last night. We went to a sporting event! Neither of us are huge fans of watching games, but we went with some friends and it ended up being a great night and a super fun atmosphere! Who knew the Utah Flash had so many die hard fans!?!?

Things get more real every day. I still look at my future husband and feel like I am dreaming sometimes. I can't BELIEVE how lucky I am. I am spending eternity with the finest there is. I am so grateful for him and the beginnings of our journey together.

Please contact me with your address if you would like an invitation. We are eager to share our special day with as many people as possible!

We love you all.

One Day at a Time

Being engaged is supposed to be a memorable and exciting part of the relationship. Adrian and I are working on remembering that! Life gets so crazy sometimes that it can be easy to lose sight of the important things, like making time for a date night, or even a meal actually SITTING DOWN together. :)

We enjoyed our Super Bowl Sunday because it was just nice to go to church together and get a refreshed perspective for the week. I love that the Gospel puts everything back in place for me! It is so refreshing.

We made a deal with each other that we would only contribute optimism to our relationship. It sounds silly and simple, but it has worked great! When I was stuck in bumper to bumper traffic on my way to campus this morning, I just texted him a smiley face.

We are DECIDING to make this a good week, despite my three exams, my continued job hunt, Adrian's busy work schedule, and getting the rest of my things moved to Old Mill.

I need to relish in the now and remember that it really doesn't ever get much easier than this! And it is all worth it having someone so wonderful to share it all with. He is my best friend in the whole world.

Wedding planning updates:

We may have found a venue. A friend of ours who used to train with Adrian has a beautiful backyard garden that has been offered to us for the daytime reception. I think I will go with it! It is exactly what I was wanting. She also makes cakes! Way to kill two birds with one stone.

I think I may have fallen in love with a dress. It is not quite purchased, but I am definitely considering it! It is light cream, and just gorgeous.

Still messing around with colors, but I come back to lavender every time. I just love it.

We have a date for our engagement photos, but we may push it back because if we are not getting married until June, we are certainly not in any rush. And for that I am grateful!

Training updates:

I meet with Melanie today at 4 pm to go over my diet for the past week. We will see what changes. Sweet potatoes and chicken are getting old fast, but I definitely don't see an end in sight! I am still 12 weeks and 5 days out from competition. The running has been feeling great and in all honestly, this part of my life has contributed to increased energy levels to perform my other tasks like homework and getting up on time. :)

I hope everyone has a joyous week! We DECIDE this! I love how empowering that is.

Brand New at This!

I am soooo excited to see how this develops over time, but for now, this will look basic and boring compared to the wonderful blogs I see from my friends.

However, I am ready to begin logging the events of our fabulous engagement and our day to day (or perhaps weekly) activities leading up to the wedding.

We have had a few recent curveballs thrown at us (surprise, surprise!!) and so we are considering pushing the wedding date back a few weeks in order to ease stress. Who knew wedding planning was so involved?!? I sure didn't.

The current temple date is May 22, but after spending many hours shopping for wedding gowns and coming to no definite conclusions, I realized I am in for a long journey with every little detail of the reception, etc. Like my mom likes to say, I have champagne taste. (Not to mention a Sprite budget!!!)

We are thinking of a mid to late June wedding at this point, and I am just waiting to hear how that fits in with everyone's busy lives.

This semester at BYU, although a blast, is proving to be quite involved. Adrian and I are busy in our endeavors to establish ourselves financially. While I am in school, Adrian is working, working, working!! He is an incredible provider and has an amazing work ethic. I have never seen anything like it. Even last week, when we were both sick with head colds, he was putting in 16 hour days at the gym. He is the best personal trainer and supplement counselor out there!

Anyway, so my current roommate got a job in Washington DC, and rather taking over the whole lease (I was subletting from her), I decided to move out too. I am relocating to Old Mill with a good friend of mine, and will be living there until the wedding. We feel good about the change, especially because my current place required a BYU Housing Waiver, and Old Mill is already BYU Approved.

My dogs will be staying in Sandy with Adrian and his family for the remainder of our engagement. That will be a difficult adjustment for me because I am attached to sleeping with them. And Kaj, especially, is attached to sleeping with me! We feel that this is the right situation, however, and my sweet new family is amazing for taking such good care of my "children".

While we are wrestling with establishing a new wedding date, etc., I am also on day one of a seven day show prep diet. My trainer wants to see how the same meal plan for a week works with my body. It is a huge change to go from packaged foods to clean eating, but I am already enjoying the natural energy boost! I will keep everyone updated on how the training is going. Today, I get my cast off so that is the big first step to recovery and building up my arms again.

I am so grateful to be going to this University, and as I sit here and type, I smile to myself because of the atmosphere I am so blessed to be surrounded by. I missed saying prayers at the beginning of class, and the general peace and calm I feel just being in the buildings.

I will post soon. Right now, there will be lots of updates!

xoxoxo,
Tash (Future, soon-to-be Mrs. Robertson)
